What the web accessibility law requires
Law 11/2023 transposes the European Accessibility Directive into Spanish law and requires WCAG 2.1 AA level compliance, under the EN 301 549 standard, for the websites of companies offering digital services to the public.

Who it affects and since when
It came into force on 28 June 2025 for new products and services. Those already on the market before that date have until June 2030 to comply.
Microbusinesses with fewer than 10 employees and annual turnover or balance sheet below €2 million are exempt, although compliance is often also a sound business decision.

Do you have to rebuild my whole website to comply?
Not always. Many issues are fixed on the current structure without redoing the entire design.
