Website maintenance
Website maintenance for small businesses in Madrid: updates, backups and support
A website nobody looks after becomes slow, insecure and, over time, stops working. We make sure your website, online store or WordPress site is always up to date: updates, backups that can actually be restored, security monitoring and support when something breaks.
Why a website needs ongoing maintenance
A website isn't a brochure you print once: WordPress, plugins, themes and the server constantly release security fixes and improvements. If they aren't applied, every outdated version is an open door that attackers look for automatically.
In recent months we've covered critical vulnerabilities in WordPress, Elementor Pro and Next.js on the blog. The pattern repeats: the flaw is published, exploitation starts quickly and the websites without maintenance are the ones that pay the price.
- Lower risk of intrusion and malware
- A faster, more stable website
- Compatibility with new PHP versions and browsers
- A clear person responsible if something breaks

What our website maintenance includes
We adapt the plan to the type of website: a corporate site that barely changes doesn't need the same as an online store taking orders every day.
- Updates to WordPress, plugins and themes
- Automatic backups stored away from your server
- Security monitoring and malware cleanup
- Alerts if the website goes down or responds slowly
- Regular checks for errors and speed
- Small content changes
- Support by email and phone
Backups: the part nobody looks at until it's needed
A backup that has never been restored is a hope, not a backup. That's why we don't just schedule them: we check that they can be restored and that they're stored somewhere other than the website's server.
How often depends on how much your website changes: an online store with daily orders needs far more frequent backups than a corporate website updated once a quarter.
Updating without breaking the website
The usual fear of updating is reasonable: a new plugin can clash with another one or with the theme. That's why we review what's new before applying it, take a backup first and, when the project allows it, test the changes on a copy of the website before touching the live one.
If something fails, we restore and investigate the cause without your customers ever seeing a broken website.
What kinds of websites it's for
If someone else or another agency built your website, that's no problem: we start with a review of its current state (versions, backups, security and speed) and from there we tell you what's needed.
- WordPress websites
- Online stores
- Corporate and service websites
- Custom-built websites

Frequently asked questions
If your question isn't here, write to us and we'll answer within 24 hours.
What happens if I don't update my website?
Over time, versions with known security flaws pile up, incompatibilities appear and the website gets slower. The problem usually shows up when there's already been an intrusion or something stops working.
How often are backups made?
It depends on how often your website changes. An online store with daily orders needs far more frequent backups than a corporate website that hardly changes. We define it with you at the start.
Do you work with websites you didn't build?
Yes. We start with a review of the current state (versions, backups, security and speed) and from there we propose what's needed.
Does it include content changes?
It includes small day-to-day changes. Bigger changes, such as new pages or redesigns, are quoted separately.
What if my website has already had a security problem?
Tell us what happened. The first step is to contain the problem and restore from a clean backup; then we review how they got in and set up maintenance so it doesn't happen again.
Is it the same as IT maintenance?
No. Website maintenance looks after your site or online store; IT maintenance looks after the computers, network and office equipment. We offer both.
How much does website maintenance cost?
It depends on the size and complexity of the website. After a quick review we give you a fixed quote; indicative amounts for our services are on the pricing page.
Want someone to take care of your website?
We review the current state of your website (versions, backups and security) and propose a maintenance plan that fits your case.
